Is there anything more disgusting and smelly
than a trash dumpster, or even a trash can? If there is, it has to be a pretty short list. Although other parts of the country
offer the service, Tidi-Can owner Jason Birdsong says he is the first one in our area to offer a curbside trash can and dumpster
cleaning service. The co-owner is Robby Bourque. The benefits from the service are many, Jason says. “I had a friend who had a business like this in
Shreveport, Louisiana where I lived. When I got to the Lake Conroe area I was surprised no one here, or in most of Houston,
offered this service. I wanted to start a business to better myself and this seemed like a great opportunity. “I service everything from a large complex with
several big dumpsters down to a residence with a single trash can. I pressure wash every unit, deodorize and then sanitize.
This is a contracted service, but everyone I have talked to says the prices are very reasonable. I learn the client’s
trash pick up schedule and come do the thorough cleaning shortly thereafter when the container is empty. I have a built-in
filtration system which means there is no mess or debris left behind. All water used is vacuumed back through the filtration
system and reused. I am aware of people in other parts of the country who do not do this, but with Tidi-Can it is very important
to me that my company be as green as possible.
“Besides getting rid of the awful odors, a professional cleaning has other benefits. The smell attracts flies,
bugs and rodents that in addition to being unsavory, spread germs that can cause E. coli, Salmonella and other diseases. This
is bad for everyone, but especially for children and pets that might directly come in contact with a trash can or dumpster.”
